RedPlate Amps, established in 2006 in, by Henry Heistand. Henry has been involved with playing, servicing and designing tube amplifiers for over 41 years.
Our philosophy is simple - “First get the cleans right” . The amps produce maximum bloom and sustain on the clean tones with incredible harmonics and overtones. Build construction is eyelet board point to point (no printed circuit boards allowed) with “sustain boosting” lead dress perfection. The intelligent, proven designs are the culmination of years of listening, learning, trial and error and shameless imitation. These are true boutique amps, hand built with an uncompromising attention to detail combined with a final tweaking process that gives the player that last extra amount of tonal excellence. Playing a RedPlate amplifier allows you to reproduce the tone inside your head and when you perform with that tone, every night becomes an “on” night.
